Poster promoting the Hunter College Concert Series for 1965-66. Saturday Evening Series performers included: Yehudi Menuhin (violin) and Fou Ts'Ong (piano); Vladimir Ashkenazy (piano); Mirella Freni (soprano); Eileen Farrell (soprano); Alicia de Larrocha (pianist); Ruggiero Ricci (violin); Hermann Prey (baritone); Rudolf Serkin (piano); Erica Morini (violin); The Vienna Octet; Zara Nelsova (cello) and Grant Johannessen (piano); Andres Segovia (guitar). Two non-subscription concerts included David Oistrakh (violin) and Van Cliburn (piano). There were a series of given by the Juilliard Quartet of works by Haydn, Schubert, and Bartok. There was a harpsichord series with performances by Ralph Kirkpatrick, Rafael Puyana, Sylvia Marlowe, Albert Fuller, and Gustav Leonhardt. A Twentieth Century Music series included performances by the Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Arthur Weisberg conducting. Luciano Berio gave a lecture/recital assisted by Cathy Berberian. Noel Lee performed works by Aaron Copland with commentary by Aaron Copland. There was a dance series with performances by Paul Taylor & Co., Donald McKayle & Co., Alwin Nikolais & Co., Erick Hawkins & Co., and Glen Tetley & Co. Special Events included "cabaret litteraire" with La Contrescarpte and a Twelfth Night Celebration with the Renaissance Quartet. A "From Distant Lands and People" series included performances by the New Zealand Concert Band, the Singing Boys of Monterrey, Les Feux Follets, and Feis Eireann. "Jazz at Hunter" included programs narrated by Billy Taylor. "The Great Piano Trios" were performed by the Beaux Arts Trio and there was a lecture-film series.
